The  Sarria route – Santiago de Compostela

It is the shortest and busiest route of the French Way. In it converge travelers who are going to start the pilgrimage and pilgrims coming from other Jacobean routes or other starting points of it.

The truth is that there is no direct way to get to Sarria, unless you have planned to get there in your own car.

Drive to Sarria

This may be the least favorable option, however, it can add points if you decide to make the road trip as part of the adventure prior to the Camino.

If you are traveling from outside Spain, the main airports are Madrid or Barcelona. You must take a direct flight to Santiago de Compostela and from there look for the bus company that makes the link to Sarria.
